Today marks the end of 2009. Tomorrow we begin a new journey. The question is where do you want your new journey to take you? Many people use this time to set New Year’s Resolutions.
The problem with this is they are usually made on the fly with little thought or planning. They are made with a process that is much like impulse buying at the grocery store. You see something good and buy it, because of a strong emotional reaction. Often once the emotions wear off negative thoughts begin to form.
So Resolutions feel good at the time they are made, but like lighting a match they often burn out quickly.
So how can you make sure 2010 gives you exactly what you want?
First don't make a resolution set a goal. But not just any kind of goal. Set an enormous goal. A goal that will require you to make a real change, a change that will require commitment, and effort.
Then sit down and write out a plan with the specific steps you need in order to accomplish your goal.
The simple act of writing out your plan with the specific steps uses one of the most important principles of success.
Now I must warn you, this process is not for everyone. Only if you really want something better in life should you embark on this journey. Only if YOU want to control your fate.
If that is not the case then this process may not be for you.
To help you understand the principles of success go to the books section and order your own copy the book of success principles- Make OneMillion Dollars in One Year.
You'll learn how to set an enormous goal and what you must do in order to achieve it.
Have a great and wonderful New Year.
